20 Best Business Schools For Sustainability—Corporate Knights MBA Ranking 2019

Want an MBA with impact? Corporate Knights announces ranking of best MBA programs for sustainability in 2019

For the second year running, Warwick Business School in the UK has the best MBA program for sustainability—according to the Corporate Knights Better World MBA Rankings 2019.

It pipped Schulich School of Business at York University to first place, which rose one place from third last year. Bath School of Management, meanwhile, climbed from 15th last year to finish third.

                UK Business Schools on top

It was a great year in general for UK schools, which as well as first and third, account for seven of the top 20 programs.

This includes sustainability stalwarts University of Exeter Business School and Manchester Alliance Business School, as well as newcomers Durham Business School and the University of Edinburgh Business School, who finished seventh and 17th respectively.

It was a particularly good result from Durham, who were this year’s biggest climber from 27th last year. This commends the school’s effort to incorporate sustainability into its MBA curriculum as a transversal theme.

                Global business schools for sustainability

The ranking is good news for North American schools as well, with four from the US and five from Canada featuring this year’s table.

For high ranking MIT Sloan School of Management, who finished sixth, it’s proof they can compete both in conventional rankings as well as sustainability-focused rankings like Corporate Knights.

The same goes for big names like Copenhagen Business School in 15th place, and INSEAD in 20th place.

INSEAD recently launched the Hoffmann Global Institute for Business and Society, an institute aimed at tackling sustainable development goals through business.
